Chicken qorma is a traditional dish from the Indian subcontinent, typically made with chicken, yogurt, and a blend of spices. Here is a basic recipe for making chicken qorma:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece of ginger, minced
- 2 cups yogurt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder (or to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
- heat the oil and add the chopped onions. Cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the chicken and cook until it turns white.
- Add the ground cumin, coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Add the yogurt and stir until it is well mixed with the chicken and spices.
- Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve with rice or chapati.
Note: you can add some more ingredients like cashews, Almonds, and cream to make it more creamy and rich in taste.
